About
A small-town girl making a big impact.
Travel keeps me honest about how different the world is.
I teach people about things they've never been through, so that when it happens to someone else, they already care.
I hail from Western Kentucky and am a first-generation college student. On my mom's side, I was the first to graduate high school. I learned early in life that information changes everything, especially when it comes from someone you believe. Huge thanks to my kindergarten teacher, Ms. Rudy, and many others along the way.
I earned my Bachelor's in Communications on a full academic scholarship, then my Master's in Education Administration while working for the university. Since then, I've built programs at a renowned research university, a regional organ procurement organization, and a federal public health program at the CDC Foundation. Today I lead a team of eight as Community Relations Manager at Network for Hope, a four-state health nonprofit.
My bottom line is helping people. Wherever work and life take me, a church basement, a high school gym, the state capitol, I center it on what the community says it needs. I've never seen good work come out of a room where everyone thinks alike. My entire life, I've always wanted to create big, happy, inclusive spaces for people from all walks of life.
I am learning Spanish, currently intermediate and working toward B1. It started as a personal goal and turned into a professional one. When we produced the 2026 Voices of Hope calendar as a full Spanish-language edition, I saw the difference between translating a family's story after the fact and building it in the language they live in. Reaching people in the language they think in is the whole job, and I would rather be able to do that myself than always need someone in the middle.
Off the clock, my heart belongs to my four-legged sidekick Morton, gardening, traveling the world, and the University of Louisville Cardinals.
